DESCRIPTION:
New England Sheet Metal and Mechanical Co. (NESM) installed the entire HVAC system (dry side and wet side—ducting and hydronics) for the new 76,500 sf adult detention facility and a 12,000 sf sheriff administration building. NESM also provided BIM creation, coordination, and conflict analysis & resolution. By uploading the coordinated model to our Trimble System, NESM was able to accurately and expeditiously lay out and install hundreds of hanger locations per day in advance of the concrete deck placements. This gave NESM the ability to prefabricate at a nearby offsite facility which expedited field construction.
