The North Butte County Courthouse was the ground up construction of a two story state courthouse that will supplement the areas of the existing courthouse and system. New England Sheet Metal and Mechanical Co. (NESM)‘s scope of work included the installation of the domestic hot and cold water piping along with the above and below grade sanitary, storm and sub-surface drainage systems. In addition, NESM installed the natural gas that supplies fuel for the domestic water heaters and the three hot water boilers that supply heat for the HVAC system. The project utilized an intensive Building Information Model with participation from all of the trade contractors which included close coordination with the general contractor after each level was completed and signed off to keep field level conflicts to a minimum.
